NINGO-PRAMPRAM, October 22, 2026 — The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has cut sod for the construction of a 13-kilometre road linking Old Ningo to Tsopoli and a Nursing Training College at Lakpleku-Kopordor.

The two projects are expected to improve road connectivity, expand healthcare training opportunities and support socio-economic development in the Ningo-Prampram Constituency.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremonies, the District Chief Executive, Raphael Uriel Nartey, expressed gratitude to traditional leaders and residents for their support for the government of President John Dramani Mahama. He said the government's development initiatives were aimed at improving living conditions in the district.

Mr. George reaffirmed the government's commitment to addressing the development needs of the constituency, citing other ongoing and planned projects, including the Greater Accra Regional ICT Lab at New Ningo, a 24-Hour Economy Market at Prampram, as well as schools and health centres. He indicated the Old Ningo-Tsopoli road would improve transportation and accessibility, while the proposed Nursing Training College would create opportunities for healthcare education and training.

The Member of Parliament urged chiefs and residents to support the successful implementation of the projects. The contractors, Ground Zone Engineering Services and MCL, assured the gathering of their commitment to completing the projects within the stipulated timelines.

The Paramount Chief of the Ningo Traditional Area, Nene Djangmah Osroagbo XII, commended Mr George for his efforts to address the area's development needs. He assured the MP of the traditional authorities' prayers and support but also drew attention to other challenges in the area that require urgent attention.

The sod-cutting ceremonies mark a further step towards improving road infrastructure and expanding educational opportunities in the Ningo-Prampram Constituency.
