People's National Party Chairperson Janet Nabla Wins Major Sankofa Pan-African Leadership Honour.

ACCRA, GHANA — The Chairperson and Leader of the People’s National Party (PNP), Hon. Janet Asana Nabla, has received the Sankofa Pan-African Icon of Women’s Leadership, Democratic Participation and Public Service Honour. The award was presented to her during the Nation Builders Convocation, Ghana @ 70 Edition, held at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ridge, Accra.
The convocation was jointly organized by Sankofa Prestige Concepts and World Unity and Peace International (WUPI), under the leadership of Mr. Isaac Kwesi Aidoo. It featured esteemed traditional rulers, members of the diplomatic corps, and civic-minded participants who converged to celebrate actions that make Ghana’s democracy shine as the nation advances towards its 70th independence anniversary.

The award is in recognition of her tireless work, bold leadership and unwavering commitment in driving women’s inclusion within public life. As a prominent female political figure and the foundational leader of the PNP, her political strides have made Ghanaian women proud. Her recognition on a pan-African platform is viewed as an inspiration for many young women to rise, serve and lead across the continent.
Speaking on the award, Madam Nabla said she was deeply humbled by the acknowledgment of the pan-African community. She dedicated the prestigious honor to the entire People’s National Party framework and to all the resilient women currently serving in public spaces across Africa. She noted that the honor belongs to every Ghanaian woman who dares to lead, serve and actively contribute towards the meaningful national development.

The accolade marks the end of a busy period for the PNP leader, who is a vocal advocate for systemic accountability, civic discipline and gender equity in national governance. Colleagues, political peers and gender advocates flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising her bold leadership style and wishing her more victories as she prepares the PNP for future electoral cycles.
