Fury vs Joshua Tickets Sell Out in 1 Hour: 80,000 Seats Snapped Up for Cardiff Showdown, 500k Fans Join Ticketmaster Queue.

General admission tickets to the Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua boxing match were sold out within an hour of going on sale. Ticketmaster UK opened their general sale at midday on Friday the 9th of October 2026, resulting in frenzied demand on the website. It emerged that 80,000 tickets had been sold within the first hour, securing the all-British rematch as one of the fastest-selling major sporting events in UK history.

The demand for the boxing match saw ticketing websites become overwhelmed with requests moments after the sale commenced. BBC Sport reported that more than 500,000 frustrated fight fans were at one point queuing to buy tickets on the main Ticketmaster site, along with a further 170,000 fans waiting for the stadium’s domestic box office website. Tickets for the event, set to take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, ranged from £88.50 for standard upper-tier seats to £13,128 for the best ringside seats.

Secondary ticket markets saw a frenzy of activity as soon as the main box office reported being sold out. In the secondary market, cheap stand tickets worth less than £100 sold for more than £491 in some cases. At the top end of the market, VIP hospitality packages worth up to £73,645 also sell for a significant profit on unauthorized ticketing platforms.

The undisputed super-bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is set to take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The event will see British boxing’s two most successful ever two-time world heavyweight champions fight each other for the first time since their draw in the 2021 rematch. The bout will be promoted by boxing company The Ring and UFC President Dana White and broadcast worldwide on Netflix without charge to premium subscription service customers. White stated that the clamor to buy tickets to the event has created a unique opportunity to generate the biggest revenue ever for a live boxing match in Britain.

Although the multi-boutter entertainment bill is scheduled to begin on the evening of Friday the 11th of December 2026, the date when the two undisputed boxing stars will officially meet in the ring is not set to happen until shortly after midnight on Saturday the 12th. This is because of the timing of the event for viewers outside the UK, with the stadium set to open its gates at midnight GMT and close at 3:30 am.
